This is Juliet Peniston-Bird, the Author of our new release:  

Juliet's passion for writing undoubtedly comes from her heritage, her great grandfather was Comyns Beaumont, one of the 'Eagles' of Fleet Street, who wrote many books including: 'A Rebel in Fleet Street' and 'The Private Life of the Virgin Queen' and many more books! Juliet's uncle Adrian Peniston-Bird has written children's books including: 'Miranda the white witch' and 'Katie's Dream'. Juliet's third cousin was Daphne Du Maurier.  Daphne's best seller 'Rebecca' has never been out of print! 

   Juliet grew up in Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs. She graduated with a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from La Trobe University, with a major in Psychology. Juliet was an avid reader from early childhood, and she frequently wrote and illustrated small story books for her family and friends. Her success at telling an entertaining story led to Juliet's teachers predicting that, one day, she would write children's books. While 'Evolution of the Vampire: The Australian Story' is far from a children's story, it is Juliet's first offering in the field of fiction. 

   In blending Bram Stoker and Anne Rice with the human reality of Jules Verne, Juliet Peniston-Bird has 'revamped' the vampire to appeal to the masses, by allowing these 'not quite humans' to share in a reality common with humankind, as well as forming an Australian vampire mythology, from the founding vampire fathers through to their current laws and etiquette.  

Juliet loves Italian food and is passionate about chocolate. Juliet loves music from the 1980's and 1990's, in particular Richard Marx, T'Pau, Madonna, The Corrs and more.  Juliet loves old movies, particularly movies starring Marilyn Monroe, the Marx Brothers and vampire movies, of course!
